ROBERTA HAYWOOD Obituary
Roberta Rose Haywood, age 79, passed away at the TBRHSC on November 27, 2023. Roberta was a "huge" fan of Daylin James and rarely missed one of his concerts. Another pastime she enjoyed was doing embroidery, playing bowling on her iPad and listening to Elvis Presley music. She kept in touch with her friends Monelle, Tracy and Jeannie. Her daily phone calls with her sister will be missed.
Roberta was predeceased by her parents Florence and Arthur Haywood.
She will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by her sister Joan Stanley, brother-in-law Foster, Brother Norm, sister-in-law Barbara and many cousins.
Thank you to the staff in the emergency department and 1A at the TBRHSC. And a special thanks to all the caring staff at the Masters Street group home. You were her family too. Also, thanks to previous staff at other group homes in which Roberta resided.
Cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held in the family plot at Mountain View Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations to Community Living Thunder Bay or LACL foundation would be greatly appreciated.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 6 at the Oliver Road Community Centre from 1:00pm-3:00pm.

I remember Roberta from Pioneer Ridge. She volunteered in the hair salon for a number of years. Very kind with both the residents and the staff.

Knew Roberta from Church and would often see her on the bus especially going home from Bowling on Saturday at the Galaxy Bowling Alley. Would always joke with her on Sunday morning asking her if she got her perfect game. Well Roberta you will bowl many perfect games in heaven. Rest in peace Roberta and condolences to the family.

Dear Norm, Joan and families...so very sorry to hear of Roberta's passing. I remember spending time with all of you as a child when our parents visited each other, and Roberta was always smiling and up for any adventure. May she rest in peace.
