Message from America with love
Nan was an integral part of my early years at St Joes. She really knew her stuff which was tremendously reassuring for me as a Principal new to Catholic schools. She was a straight shooter and quite succinct when a point needed to be made and I really loved her for it. If something came up I could always rely on Nan to let me know without any drama. She helped me in so many ways that no one will ever know and took real pleasure in the positive involvement of the school on parish life and visa versa. I respected her and loved her very dry sense of humour. I know that all will be well in heaven now that Nan is there to organise things.

Dear Hurdle Clan, sending each of you our love and sincerest condolences at your family's loss. Auntie Nano provided me with a sharp intellect and even quicker wit. I remember her embrace! It was strong and meaningful.

Much love to you James, Charlene Alexandra and Eve Bowden
