Miro O'ROURKE Obituary

O'ROURKE, Miro (Mary) There are no words that seem adequate enough to say thank you to everyone who expressed their sympathy during the loss of our dear mother, mother-in-law, and sister, Nana, NanNan and Nanny. Miro was a truly wonderful person, a taonga, a treasure and through the memories that she gave each of us she will be forever in our hearts. Rhonda and Bob, Martina and Kevin, Moana and Barry, Marelda and John, Dion and Marlene, Auntie Flossie and Uncle Heni and families would like to express their gratitude for the aroha, kind words of comfort and ongoing support. Our sincere thanks to you all for the many beautiful cards and floral tributes. We gratefully thank you for the numerous donations of food and koha and were humbled by your generosity. To those who were able to visit Mum and who travelled near and far to attend her funeral (especially Suzanne and Karina) we were honoured by your thoughtfulness. We thank Annette Paris and Garth McMillan for reading at the chapel and Andrea for leading the singing. To Father Vaughan Hook, the gifts you have, made Mum's service and celebration of her life so memorable and heart felt. To the many long-time family friends, neighbours and workmates thank you for the many phone calls and sharing of memories. Special thanks to Ross Ryan and the staff at the Avenal Park Funeral Home, again your expertise, professionalism and genuine caring, was greatly valued.
"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear. "Please accept this as a personal acknowledgement.
