STRANGMAN, James Leslie (Jim). - Peacefully on Friday, 25 July, 2014, at The Oaks Senior Care, Christchurch, in his 88th year. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Margaret (nee Henderson), cherished father and father-in-law of Sue and Don Mackintosh, Darryl, Gary, Kim and Vivienne, adored grandad of Isaac and Clare, Joshua, Amber and Andy; Tracey and Glen, Janine and Jason; Liam, and Jorja; and precious great-grandad Jim of Jake, Daisy, Charlie, Olivia, Harrison, and Ethan. The family wish to express their sincere thanks to Dr Phillipa Ryan for the wonderful care given to Jim. Special thanks to the staff at The Oaks for the care and compassion shown to Jim in his last days. Messages may be sent to 26 Regency Crescent, Redwood, Christchurch 8051. Donations to St John Ambulance would be appreciated and may be made at the service. Please join us in a Celebration of Jim's life at the Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, Christchurch, on August 8, at 2.00pm. Private cremation thereafter.

STRANGMAN, James Leslie (Jim). — Loved son of the late Downie and Sarah Strangman, loved brother and brother-in-law of the late Jack and Alma Strangman, the late Mary and Archie Henderson, the late Liland and Bill McKendrick. Loved brother-in-law of Lauris and the late Russell Eddie, the late Jean and Bob Muir, Bevin and Mary Henderson, Di and the late Scott Henderson, and Helen and Ted Grey.
