Ian THOMPSON Obituary

THOMPSON, Ian Matthew Hamilton. - Died peacefully, at Ashwood Park Retirement Village, Blenheim, on Wednesday, August 27 2014. Aged 90 years. Loving husband of the late Noelene, loved father of Daphne and the late John; Phil and Jo, and Celia and Yvonne. Loved Grandad and Opa of Lana and Matt, and Nigel and Dominic; Jordan and Val; Jodi, Tayla, and Jordyn. Loved great-grandad of Emily, Ryan, and Alex. A special thank you to the staff at Ashwood Park for all their care over the years. Messages may be sent to PO Box 110, Blenheim 7240. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart Foundation would be appreciated and may be made at the service or sent to PO Box 535, Nelson 7040. A service for Ian will be held at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, corner Arthur and Percy Streets, Blenheim, at 11.00am on Monday, September 1. The interment will follow at 2.30pm on Tuesday, September 2, at Wallacetown Cemetery, Invercargill.

Phil, Jo, Daphne and Celia. Thinking of you at this sad time. We hope the many happy memories of family times over the years will be a comfort for you for a long time to come. We will remember Ian's smile, humour and story telling for a very long time. He was a wonderful man. Mailyn & Nigel, Terry & Teresa, and George.
