My deepest sympathy goes out to the family and friends.

I had the privilege of knowing Brian and his family as the most amazing and fantastic next door neighbours in Wellington during the 1970's. Growing up a child of the '70's was an incredible experience and the Alexander's of 39 Victory Avenue, Karori were a very big part of that indeed! God speed Brian and RIP. Thank you for all of the memories!

We are so grateful that we were able to come to know Brian, even if only briefly. The sense of connection with lost but not forgotten family was so real. Our children were spellbound by Brian's storytelling. His adventures on Concord remain vivid in all of our minds. My mother Ngaira and auntie Norma were so pleased to come to know their little brother. Uncle Athol took real comfort from his relationship with Brian in his twilight years.
Irene, Richard, Keri, Sam, auntie Fay and Jeremy, please accept our deepest sympathy on your loss from the deep south. Peter and Sarah Redpath and family.
