So sorry to read of Thursa's passing. I first worked with Charge Nurse Kennedy in Ward 1 Kew Hospital in the late 60's before she joined the RNZNC. She inspired me to join the Nursing Corps also, we both worked at Waiouru Hospital in the early 70's. My deepest sympathy to her family.

Sorry to hear of Matron Kennedys passing. As mentioned by others, a fair task master and ended up in military hospitals where she was the matron and I happened to be a patient at the time. RIP Matron and god bless and regards to the family.

We knew Thursa for many years both in the military and as civilians. She was a favourite with our 2 sons, and was great during the many medical emergencies our family managed, especially in Waiouru! She was greatly respected everywhere she worked. We send her family our love and deepest sympathy.

Very sorry to hear of Thursa's death. Happy memories of time in Kew Hospital when she was nursing there and socialising in the 50's and early 60's.

A very sad day. Had the pleasure of working with Matron Kennedy at Waiouru Hospital, 75/77. A strict and fair matron and a great teacher and mentor, R.I.P. Matron Kennedy. Robert McIntosh (NSW)

Sad to hear that Thursa has passed on. I had the pleasure of working with her at Burnham Camp Hospital and even though I was a lowly medic, she still took the time to look out for me as well as all of the others under her command. She was one of my inspirations for becoming a Registered Nurse. I am grateful to have met her and for the influence she had on my life.

I was sad to learn of Thursa's passing she was a wonderful lady who I was priviledged to live and work with while on exchange from UK to NZ. She then sponsored my immigration to NZ where I spent many happy years. RIP Thursa

I was sad to hear of Thursa's passing. We had some good long talks when I was writing the RNZNC history. She told me a lot about herself.
My thoughts are with her family and I thank her for sharing her story with me and the support she gave me.
